Commentary:
That’s me,
basking in the vibe of my newly renovated studio. This week, we assembled the
desk and set up the ProTools rig, using the remarkable Universal Audio Apollo
as the analog/digital interface. Thank goodness Brian was around to help since
the ProTools software installation is definitely not an easy, straightforward
task. Once we got everything up and running, then we installed the MIDI controller
and got that functioning properly (again, no easy feat). Finally, after several
hours of set-up time, Brian gave me a crash course in ProTools and set up a
template I can use for just about any project. I successfully laid down some
drum tracks yesterday as an experiment—so far, so good! I am really looking forward to
figuring this stuff out and getting down to work! Stay tuned...
